I remember the first time I saw Moonraker back in the late 80’s. I remember thinking she SHOULD have had braces. It was a missed opportunity - Jaws had a can opener in his mouth, why didn’t the nerdy girl have braces?! That disappointment is what I remember most about the scene. Because I anticipated it, I can easily see how the mind would have filled in the blank in other children. Now we’re all adults and it’s obviously a mistake, but back then you saw it because that’s what we should have seen the first time.
