Gift vs. normal income. I wonder if these people set up non-profit status to avoid taxes on GoFundMe and other donations. I don’t see individual GoFundMe accounts dispering $ to each actor. I see it as a pooled amount to be distributed. Then again, I don’t think most of the donations are from citizens. I think the departments that pulled this off throw $ into each GoFundMe account under many fictitious names.
