this looks like the plane was coming down, FIRST! That being said, if he was coming down because of engine loss, They NEVER would have banked the aircraft. You lose altitude and you wouldn’t have enough power to make the bank and return to the airport safely. If you see a real airplane crash story, where it was tragic and destroyed the plane, 95% of the time it’s because the pilot tried to turn back and return to the airport. The 1st thing they teach you when flying, if you lose power, you keep going straight, glide, and find a good spot to drop it down. NEVER turn when you are going down without power. You can stay aloft by going straight and dropping the nose down if you need a little more speed. I don’t know any military pilots that would have attempted that bank if the airplane lost it’s power.
