It also shocks and saddens me how so many people are habituated to suppress symptoms with pharmaceuticals -- to lower fever and dry up mucous membranes -- this is the worst thing you can do to your body. A raised temperature helps fight the infection, and unless it becomes very high (103F) it is beneficial. And drying out the body is hideously damaging to the whole system as well as short-circuiting the natural autoimmune reaction. Sleep. Rest. Drink water. Do NOT take Tylenol, Nyquil, or any of the other symptom suppressors -- they work against you. Just pull up your big girl/boy pants and cope with some discomfort for a few days and you’ll be far better off for it.

As a hospice volunteer (years ago) I was instructed the rule was minimum 20 seconds of friction, rubbing over all surfaces and digits. Avoid touching mouth, eyes and nose with unwashed hands. I have NEVER gotten a ’flu shot and intend to keep it that way. I cannot remember having the ’flu in the past 20 years. When I was a child (l-o-o-ong time ago) a co-worker of my father suffered a severe reaction to the ’Swine ’Flu’ shot and went blind -- absolutely true. Of course, we have little protection from what is being genetically designed and released into the air, water or in the vaccines that OTHER useful idiots are injected with.
