Your exhaled breath will be 14 to 17% o2 because your body took oxygen from the air and used it. A mask only traps a few 10s of milliliters of used air at the most. An average breath is around half a liter. Average person total lung capacity is between 1 and 3 liters (depends on size of person and other factors.) This means you can easily inhale a little more to make up for trapped air you rebreath. If co2 builds up in the blood because of poor air exchange it triggers the hypercapnic alarm response and you breath deeper and or faster to compensate.

If you don’t understand the science involved you shouldn’t take video for fact. Anyone who breaths on a oxygen sensor will lower the oxygen around the sensor no mask needed to set off that alarm. He isn’t doing this test correctly you need to use a pulse oxymeter to check blood oxygen level (I am a biomedical tech). A mask does not trap enough co2 to make any difference to your blood oxygen. Of course air you exhale has lower oxygen it shows your lungs are working. You have to realize if you breath on this meter even without a mask it will have less oxygen than the air (and VITALE knows it). If you want to diss masks how about showing the fact that the virus is 5 times smaller than the pore size of a N95 mask and forget about cloth masks you can see thru the weave of an individual cloth layer. Masks do nothing! This video is deceptive!!!!! Masks are however useless look up the pore size of an N95 mask and look up the size of the virus its 5 times smaller than the mask poors. This video does not show anything about the origin of the virus. The only thing this video shows is VITALE is scientifically illiterate or a typical lying politician and I am pretty sure it’s the latter.
