Funnily enough I was thinking exactly this today (the bit about having to show a passport to go to a pub). If I ran a pub (which I used to) I would like to know if people who were coming in had a history of violence - especially when drunk. Or if they were drug dealers, or pick-pockets. I wouldn’t give a shit if someone had flu or any other kind of ailment. I certainly wouldn’t be asking for some kind of legislation to prevent people with flu coming in.
