Who's excited? First live 4K transmission from space ever. Let's get right to it. Johnson Space Center. Can you do the audio check? Coming. We should hear it in the room very shortly. The patient is in deep fit. Are you ready for the event? Yes, we're ready for the event. Please complicate for a wait check. Okay, here we go. Hello, Commander Fisher and Colonel Wittson and Colonel Fisher. It is an honor for all of us and those online to join you and all of your colleagues at NASA in the first ever live 4K stream from space. What is the ISS position in orbit right now? 11 seconds. We're just passing over bomb on California and we're heading in an orbit over North America. By the time we finish, stocking will be over Central Africa. Amazing. Before we learn more about NASA's... ...Amazing. Amazing. Before we learn more about NASA's... ...Amazing. The use of live 4K. I'd like to share about Peggy's exciting achievement that was recently made on the ISS and in space. Peggy made 8 space walks and you recently set the record for the most days in space by an American astronaut. Congratulations. What inspired you to become an astronaut? Actually, when I was growing up I saw the first pin walk on the moon and I thought, wow, cool job. Of course, it didn't really become a goal of mine. It was just a dream. But when I graduated from high school, the first female astronauts were selected. And that's when it truly became a goal for me. Luckily, I had no idea how hard it would be. And I just worked really, really hard and spent a lot of years getting there. But in a lot of hard work. And in the end, I got lucky and some of my work paid off. So it's been well worth the journey for sure. Well, it's an inspiration to thousands of students in the United States and the entire world. So thank you so much. Now, of course, we're calling from the NAB show here in Las Vegas, where next generation broadcasts and production technology comes to life. Are there any films about space that have truly inspired you? Well, for me, it was definitely the right stuff, as a... Well, they have the Soyuz launch. But we are anxiously awaiting and looking forward to greeting our new crewmates up here. Well, is there any chance that your mission might be extended? And I think that's the best way to do it. But we are anxiously awaiting and looking forward to greeting our new crewmates up here. Well, is there any chance that your mission might be extended? And so what's the word on when you'll be returning? And how do you feel about spending potentially some extra weeks up there? Yeah, so we're still waiting to hear word from all of that. And of course, our Russian partners are going to let us know as soon as they have any word. Welcome to the Coupillum. Ready to play a little music. Indeed, your scenery looks a little nicer than ours. Do you have your trusty floating guitar pick with you? Excellent. Mine is subject to gravity. I know, yours matches your mission patch. Glik, so you guys ready to do this? Yes! Chris, ready to go? Yes, sir, I'm ready. Okay, let's do this. Let's do it. This rocket's burning bright. We'll soon be out of sight. And orbiting in space. Push back in my seat. Look out my window. There goes home. That ball of shine blue. Houses everybody, anybody ever knew. So sing your song. I'm listening. I'm listening. I can hear your voices bouncing off the moon. If you could see our nation from the International Space Station, you know why I want to get back soon. 18,000 miles an hour, fuel the science and soul of power. The ocean's racing past. At half a thousand tons, 90 minutes' moon to sun, the bullet can't go out this fast. Folding from my seat. Look out my window. There goes home. That brilliant ball of blue. Is where I'm coming off, so where I'm going to. So sing your song. I'm listening. I'm listening. I can hear your voices bouncing off the moon. If you could see our nation from the International Space Station, you know why I want to get back soon. 18,000 miles an hour, fuel the science and soul of power. The ocean's racing past. I'm listening. I can hear your voices bouncing off the moon. Just a spinning ball to fill a tiny, fat-missed feeling. Push back in my seat. Look out my window. Here comes home. What once was fueled by fear. Now has 50 nations all agreed together here. So sing your song. I'm listening. I'm listening. I can hear your voices bouncing off the moon. If you could see our nation from the International Space Station, you know why I want to get back soon. You know why I want to get back soon. You know why I want to get back soon. Your know why I want to get back soon. You know I won't get back soon
