Well, what have we here? Members of Congress and their staff are exempt from Biden's vaccine mandate. Of course, I have to fact-check this and see if it were true, and I found this on verify. No President Biden's vaccine mandate for federal workers does not apply to members of Congress and their staff. The President cannot impose a vaccine mandate on Congress via executive order, or in an agency or department regulation according to the Congressional Institute. So in the midst of the global pandemic, you can't require a mandate on your congregational staff, but you can mandate one for federal employees and the rest of the world. Because somehow they're exempt from getting COVID, right? Let's be done. President Biden signed two executive orders requiring vaccinations for all federal employees and millions of federal contractors on September 9th. Before signing the executive orders, Biden said during a speech at the White House that the executive orders would only apply to federal workers and contractors in the executive branch of the federal government. However, members of Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate, fall under the legislative branch of the government. Therefore, this wouldn't apply to them. Nancy Pelosi, a House Speaker rep said, we are guided and have to be guided by the guidance of the Capitol physician. He has made those contingents and will weigh in the equities to a different place. I'm sure he will tell us. In late July, Monahan issued an indoor mask mandate for members of the House and their staff at the Capitol after the CDC updated its guidance because of the rapid spread of the Delta variant. The Senate was not included in the mandate. As of September 10th, he has not required members of Congress or their staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19. So in the midst of a global pandemic, Congress isn't required to get vaccinated. Congress has mandated only wear a mask according to their physician, but that's literally what other Americans are trying to do, wear a mask to help stop the spread. So, wear a mask to help stop the spread. So they can make their own choices regarding their health, but the public can't. Welcome to America.
