Trump announces to drop support for ISIS to soothe Russian ties

Breaking News: Trump drops CIA Support For Anti-Assad Syrian Rebels (AKA ISIS). Donald Trump decided a month ago to stop the CIA's secret program to equip and train rebel groups fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's army - Mostly ISIS, although some have claimed the decision was made upon Trump and Putin's discussion in Germany at the G20 summit. The U.S. decision was intended to show willingness to work with Russia in Syria, which wants to preserve its ally Assad's rule. The CIA program began in 2013 as an effort by then-President Barack Obama to overthrow Assad, but produced little success. However once again, change is in the wind.
