I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. Tonight, millions of Canadians are once again living under a dangerous haze. It just looks really scary. A plume of thick black smoke spreading across North America from hundreds of out-of-control wildfires. How long will it last? How harmful will it get? The world gets its first glimpse at what's left of a Titan Sun. I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. It kind of just smells like there's a barbecue going on all over the city. It's not even an offensive odor. It's got a bit of a crispy burnt smell if that makes any sense. And most people aren't wearing masks. This is the National with Chief Correspondent Adrian Arsono. Tonight, a haze of wildfire smoke is hanging over millions of people across several provinces and territories, turning the air murky and hazardous for some, including in a huge section of Ontario and Quebec. So Toronto's air quality dips so low today it was listed as the worst in the world. Buildings were barely visible in Chicago and Detroit's skyline wasn't much easier to spot. If you zoom out, this is how all that smoke looks. If a loser shows us the effect, that's happy. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy and dangerous smoke, as wildfire smoke settled in. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world, by Swiss tracker IQ Air. I just feel a little bit more fatigued. So I guess that's the longer the day goes, the more you're going to feel that if you're having, if you're breathing a little bit restricted. Demonstrators in the city's east end point to climate change and are demanding the federal government do more. I have a young daughter at daycare who's not going outside today because the air quality is so bad. I'm pregnant. This air quality is really bad for my unborn child. Environment Canada rated the air quality in many parts of southwestern Ontario as very high risk, meaning the public should reduce strenuous outdoor activities. Canada post paused male deliveries in Windsor and Chatham to keep carriers safe. That smoke choked parts of the United States too. You can definitely tell it smells like a campfire out here. I've never seen it like this smokey or anything, like even fog. I've never seen it be this bad. Last night I really was coughing a lot. People in Detroit, Chicago and New York were urged to stay inside. It is unsafe to be outdoors, use a mask, and pay attention to the alerts. Wildfire smoke is among the most dangerous forms of air pollution. They can travel really long distances, they can get into our lungs, even into our bloodstreams, our organs, and our brain. Feeling with wildfire smoke is something western Canadians are used to. Page Keach moved to Kelowna from Ontario in 2021, and has this advice for those back home. Be mindful of how much you're going outside, how much you're breathing it in, and to stay inside when you can. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy, and dangerous smog. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy, and dangerous smog. Hey everyone, it is Wednesday, June 28th. The time right now is 4.42pm, and the temperature is around 22 degrees Celsius. I was just double checking the date, it is in fact the 28th. And there goes a 504 King Street car, and I'll be hopping on the scooter and following the route of that street car. I'll be heading south, down Dundas, into Ronsosville, and then I'll be heading east along the entire length of King Street. And it's worth noting today that, at least according to airqualityontario.com, the current air quality is a 9 out of 10, and that is a bad thing, that is listed as high risk. And that is apparently due to the wildfires in Quebec. And you can probably tell it's a bit hazier than usual. And that is Dundas West Station there. This is the West Bend neighborhood. But any who, I'll stop. Jibber jabbering here, and hop on the scooter and get moving. I guess it would help if I did up the chin strap on my helmet here. There we go. So I'll be turning right onto Dundas Street West, and heading south, which might sound a little weird, but for the stretch Dundas Rons north south. And based on the time, I should be cutting through the financial district during rush hour. And this here is Blur Street West. So this initial stretch between Blur and King Street should be about 2.2 kilometers. And then along King Street. I think it will be a little over 8 kilometers or so. So I think around 10 kilometers in total, or a little more. And just up here is where Dundas Street veers off to the left and becomes East West again. And now we are on Rossisville's Avenue. This is the traditionally Polish village of Ronsi, or Ronsisville's, or Ronsisville, depending on who you talk to, some pronounce the S, some don't. Many just say Ronsi and avoid the whole conversation. This is Howard Park Avenue, and just to the right is where the College Street car, or I guess the 5 or 6 Carlton terminates at Hy Park. And at the end of every summer, there's a large street festival here. It takes place the same weekend as the Ukrainian festival up in Blur West Village. And just for reference, I'm going about 17 or 18 kilometers per hour. There's a 504 King Street car. There's a bit of a burnt smell in the air. Kind of just smells like there's a barbecue going on all over the city. It's not even an offensive odor. It's got a bit of a crispy burnt smell if that makes any sense. And most people aren't wearing masks. It's the Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy and dangerous smog, as wildfire smoke settled in. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world. Give them a little shake of the head. I mean there's a smart way to cross the street, and then there's an inconsiderator. And not some smart way. And this is Restaurant Roe coming up on the right. The bell tipped light box on the left. I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy and dangerous smog, as wildfire smoke settled in. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world. I'd say I haven't really noticed the air being that bad. Over the past little while. Hamilton currently claimed until August 20th at the Princess of Wales Theatre. The Royal Alex is a production called Hades Town. This will be Simco Street. I was just carrying on. I've just got their four ways on. And this is University. And I'm about to enter the financial district and it is 5'16". This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy and dangerous smog, as wildfire smoke settled in. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world. This is York Street. This is York Street. There are a lot of people out there waiting for that westbound street car at Bay and King. It's always a great sight seeing so many people out on bikes. And this is Young Street coming up. There's going to be another packed street car right in front of King's Station. This was Toronto Wednesday, wrapped in a grey, hazy and dangerous smog, as wildfire smoke settled in. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world. And now King Street East. That in East. Once I crossed Young Street West became King Street East. And this is the St. Lawrence neighborhood. St. James Cathedral on the left. And this is the St. Lawrence neighborhood. St. James Cathedral on the left. And this is Jarvis Street. So this is the last street that the Transit Priority Court orders in effect. And this is Jarvis Street. So this is the last street that the Transit Priority Court orders in effect. And we're at George Street. So it's not like French fries. And it's Sherburne Street. There's EQ 3 on the left. Kind of like a more upscale like here. Or along the lines of a CB2. Okay. Price and quality wise. This is the Long-Tronze Highway. It's an array of easy and dangerous smog. At one point it was so bad Toronto's air quality was listed as the worst in the world. Like oh, you can feed your money. Why is it making you go to school? I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go to school. I'm not going to go to school. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. I'm not going to go. Is that okay? Is that okay? I use like 5 to 10 minutes. Just never know. This is it. Got it. Hello everyone, welcome back to another video from New York City. It's Saturday, June 10, 2023 and right now it's 2.53 pm New York time outside temperature is 76 degree Fahrenheit, which is 24 degrees Celsius and it is a pretty gorgeous day here in New York City. Tonight, breaking news, danger in the air. We're outside in New York, mask in hand. The city choked by some of the worst air quality in the entire world. A pockle of 16s up and down the east coast, skylines disappearing behind a yellow and orange haze. These are pretty gorgeous day here in New York City. Real images of major cities blanketed by wildfire smoke pouring in from the north. New York City turning into an orange dystopia. Hey everyone, welcome back to another video from New York City. We are going to be doing a live stream from there. Tonight we are outside on the 33rd floor here at Rockefeller Center in New York. 33rd floor, 33rd floor, 33rd floor, 33rd floor, 33rd floor, 33rd floor. We almost like up to the climate crisis. This is not okay. I want to have children. I want to have a livable future. But I cannot do this. It's also few millionaires continue to invest in all of our debt. Fuck James Bank and fuck fossil fuel millionaires and fuck this government for being passive and lowering into habits. We need new leadership. We need a new system that does not allow this earth and our future today. This is not normal. I am not crazy. This is fucking crazy. We cannot continue to normalize this apocalypse. We must take action against fossil fuel billionaires who are fucking us over. If you care about your life, about your children's life, you know all the reasons. Take action against this bomb and property. This is kind of fun. This is not normal. We must breathe clean air. We must live like normal, livable, future people. 33rd floor, 33rd floor. This time lapse from earth cam capturing the city skyline as it turns apocalyptic in just two hours. 3PM right now. It's 7.48PM New York. 3PM right now. It's 7.48PM New York. 33rd floor. 33rd floor. 3PM right now. 33rd floor. 33rd floor. We almost wake up to the climate crisis. This is not okay. I want to have children. I want to have a livable future. But I cannot do this. It's fossil fuel billionaires continue to invest in all of our debt. Fucked James Bank and fuck fossil fuel billionaires. And fuck this government for being passive and low and getting to help us. We need new leadership. We need a new system that does not allow this earth and our future to die. This is not normal. I am not crazy. This is fucking crazy. We cannot continue to normalize this apocalypse. We must take action against fossil fuel billionaires. We must fucking us over. If you care about your life, about your future life, no, all generations. Take action against this world's property. This is genocide. This is not normal. We must breathe, breathe in air. We must live like normal, livable, future, livable. The smoke today is from the fires of Canada, which is from droughts that are caused by the climate crisis. And this is because the climate millionaires, fossil fuel billionaires, refuse to stop investing in fossil fuels. And therefore, our politicians are getting paid off by those motherfuckers. And all of us are going to have to live an un-livable future. And I'm the lucky one, because I'm in the richest country in the world. But most people are not going to have it like that. Most people are going to have to flee for their lives. Millions of people are going to die, unless we take action today. So this cannot be considered normal. We need people to wake the fuck up.
