Three people including the gunmen were dead and six others injured in a gun incident in Auckland, a city in New Zealand's North Island on Thursday. The offender was armed with a pump action shotgun, he moved through a building site and discharged his firearm. According to witnesses, eight gunshots were heard. Connecting streets have been cordoned off and a public was asked to stay indoors. Thursday marked the beginning of the Maanslunthiva Women's World Cup 20-23, which has been co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia. Auckland Mayor Wimbran said all Thiva personnel and international football teams were safe.
