and now protesting publics, Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg right there organizing a die-in as part of the protest and gun violence. CBS Forest Tetskout and his live at a publics and corals springs with details on the controversy and how publics is responding to it tonight. Ted? Elliott kind of confusing out here this afternoon. This afternoon publics put out a statement saying that they were going to suspend their political contributions while they re-evaluated their whole process of how they gave those contributions. Initially David Hogg, the organizer thought that was good enough he was going to call up the protest and they were just going to leave. Well, then after speaking to some of the people in his group, all that change and they went in and had that protest anyway. And by MSD shooting survivor David Hogg, students and supporters stage a die-in at the publics just blocks away from Marjorie Stone and Douglas. They're angry that the supermarket donated more than a half a million dollars to NRA supporter and gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam. When politicians get money from the NRA, when Adam Putnam takes $670,000 from public supermarkets, we call B.S. While sprawled out on the floor near the produce aisle, Hogg read the names of each person killed, many remembering their friends who were murdered. I'm going to think about every single life that was lost. Pulse, Parkland, Santa Fe, every single mass shooting. I think that there's something like since Pulse 780, there's too many. Way too many. The Parkland students weren't the only ones rallying. Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump! Trump and NRA supporters crowded into the store too. Saying the protesting against Putnam, Public and the NRA is not fair. I'm a constitutionalist and I think that this is ridiculous. 3% of child homicides, people under 18 murdered happen in schools. The other 97% happen somewhere else. Why are we talking about that? So here's part of that statement that public's put out this afternoon. It says as a result we decided earlier this week to suspend corporate funded political contributions as we re-evaluate our giving process. Now again, David Hogan initially said that seemed good enough. There was enough change there that he's going to call up this protest and have some dialogue with publics and suddenly all that change they haven't protested anyway.
