which came first the fire or the demolition. A bridge over a lake in Tempe, Arizona partially collapsed after a freight train derailed and caught fire Wednesday morning according to police. Multiple train cars were on fire and some were carrying lumber as smoke filled the skies over the Phoenix suburb. And not be whole right there front of the cave down boom. Two people who almost crossed the bridge before it collapsed said it was terrifying. We were nearly feet from crossing underneath the bridge and my husband says that doesn't sound good. It was the noise was so loud like you were at a fair you know a ride something that like it was gonna crash and we stopped because we were getting closer to go underneath it and all of a sudden it just it just fell right before our eyes. We literally witnessed it it was very scary. Fire department and other emergency crews were attempting to extinguish the flames. A plume of black smoke was visible for miles away. Traffic in the area was diverted as was commercial aircraft taking off from Sky Harbor International Airport. No injuries had been reported.
