Seth Rich spent his summer training under an Israeli military during a war with Lebanon. What's up everybody, this is Sheila Aliens again, back with another video about Seth Rich. And just like last time, I'm only making this because I have something new to show you guys that I don't think anybody else has shown you guys yet. On my last video, somebody asked if there's any yearbook photos of Seth Rich that anybody knows of. I thought that was a fair enough question, and I was able to find his yearbook photos in Omaha. His parents put this half-page commemorative ad in his senior yearbook congratulating him. He was president of the debate club and president of the French club. There is a full page spread about him in his graduating yearbook that's pretty interesting since we don't know a whole lot about him. And it says, senior witnesses conflict in the middle east. This is a full-page spread about his trip to Israel. See, the caption under his picture here says, Seth Rich spent his summer training under an Israeli military during a war with Lebanon. He said training under the military was such an uplifting experience because the military was affected emotionally by the war because some of the commanders had to leave to fight. Rich said he didn't plan on taking another trip until he started college. A week of training under the Israeli military during a war with Lebanon might not be many high school students' idea of a great vacation, but Seth Rich spent part of his vacation in Israel doing exactly that. Seth went with roughly 306 other teenagers from a Jewish camp to Jerusalem for six weeks on his field trip to Israel for the Rama seminar. It is so different. It's a cool experience, Seth said. They made it real. You could see it in their faces. Seth said even with the war going on 60 miles to the north, he didn't feel unsafe. He said he felt safe because everyone handled it well. We were concerned, but not alarmed. Seth's father Joel Rich said. Joel said he trusted the trip's sponsors and thought his son was in good hands. Seth said he feels much more connected to Israel than Judaism. Seth's second trip was the march of the living and there were only about 130 teenagers who went. They went to Poland to visit the Holocaust Memorial and then they went to Israel for another week. I think that's a pretty common place for young Jewish people in the United States. They have to go on this little trip to see the Holocaust Memorial and go to Israel. I think it's called birthright. They all have to go do that. Seth said the reason Israel was a positive place was because the country was a product of a tragedy. And I kind of liked this quote he said here. In a way, it made you happy, Seth said. But it made me realize that whenever there's happiness nearby, sadness is not far away and when sadness is nearby, happiness is not far away. And he said him and some of his friends promised to always remember what they saw at the memorial by wearing blue bandanas around their ankles. Hopefully they aren't wearing shorts because that makes them look like gang members. Not exactly safe. And yeah, that was his little trip to Israel, training with the Israeli military. It has a picture of his ankle with the bandana around it. The next thing I wanted to talk about was the conditions of the area where Seth Rich was murdered and the blatant safety hazards that were allowed even after residents complained. These safety hazards remained until Seth was killed. I found this comment by somebody who lives in the area about the safety hazards. Here's what they said. Violence in this neighborhood literally all within a couple blocks of his death has been boiling over in the past few weeks. There have been two guys with a silver handgun involved in at least six armed robberies in the past few weeks. There have been neighborhood meetings about this in several neighbors begging DC water to do something about the unsafe, unlit construction zone nearby that has created a perfect opportunity for violent crime. The police said they would send out of patrol on a segue and apparently that only lasted a couple of days. It's absolute negligence and the city officials now have blood on their hands. And they go on to say that they hope his family sews DC water and the impede. There is documented complaints about the fact that there were no streetlights on that street where he died the night he died. Here's a letter written by a Bloomingdale resident to the mayor the city council and the police department chief chief Lanier. She was the chief at the time but she has since resigned and this was sent one day after Seth Rich was killed. Dear Mayor Bowser council member McDuffie and chief Lanier you were all missed last month in our community meeting about safety in the Bloomingdale neighborhood. Now I'm writing after the sad and disturbing news of the death of Seth Rich who was shot on Flagler and W Street Northwest last Sunday morning. At last month's meeting the representatives of the NPD that's the Metropolitan Police Department. Promise that they would increase police presence in order to deter a recent spree of armed robberies occurring in a neighborhood. However the streets in Bloomingdale are still dark at night and the visible police presence has been minimal at best. This has been the case even though there were several armed robberies in between the time of the community meeting and the deadly shooting on Sunday morning. NPD representatives said themselves that this crime wave would continue unless police were able to arrest or scare away the criminals. Where is the effort to deter these criminals from terrorizing our neighborhood? Where is the spotlights around the construction zones? Where are the bike or foot patrols? The lack of an appropriate response to these armed robberies is this heartening and careless. Now people are getting killed. Me, my family, or any of my neighbors could be the next to bleed to death in the streets of Bloomingdale. I demand prompt action to stop this ongoing crime wave now. Sincerely, First Street Northwest residents. And from what I understand Seth Rich lived on First Street. So you can see that kind of fostered this environment where this could happen. It almost seems like it was done on purpose. The police department allowed it to happen. And another thing that makes the police department look a little bit fishy is the fact that they didn't ask for any footage from any of the neighbors. As you saw in my last video, a neighbor offered up the information that he got from two of his neighbors in the direct vicinity of where Seth was murdered. He got those people to look at their security cameras. And by that, he was able to deduce where the perpetrators would have exited, judging by which cameras saw movement and which ones didn't at the time of Seth's murder. The police didn't even do that. The police didn't even ask for their footage. That's highly suspicious. I found a video showing exactly how it is. It was posted by an unknown YouTuber. He posted about five months before Seth died. But you get to see exactly how you had to walk behind this weird construction zone that's blocked off from everyone's view. Anybody could be hiding in there. Damn. Oh, no. What's going on around here, man? It might be going something serious, man. They got the cranes. It's a moast. I'm just trying to get them around. First street, man. We're gonna get a little bit. I'm trying to get a little least person. That's like the wild, you know what I'm saying? That was the block right there, dude. I don't trust cranes, but I'd be scared that they're going to drive through the shed. I should go in my head. I don't know. What are they going out? I thought they were just fixing on the street. They built a colosseum. Day or night, you'd have to be a brave soul to walk back there in that neighborhood. This construction site was completely dark at night. Usually construction sites have spotlights on them at night, so people don't walk into them, drive into them, and so people don't go and steal from the construction site. But this site had no lights on it, and also the street lights were out at the time of Seth Rich's murder. I'm sorry. First thing what it used to be, but they still out here. You might see them around the summertime. A lot of these neighborhoods that's gentrified, they don't never always be fully gentrified. You know what I'm saying? You might have a couple of grandma's to stay around there. So yeah, right here in Flagler Market right here. You know what I'm saying? We're going to show these little apartment conflats. This ain't no hood. It's like a, it used to be like a little section A joint, but they moved there by hour and they made it to like a, I wouldn't say like a condo. They kind of made it to like just a non-low income house. You know what I'm saying? With the CBE crew. And if you see this video, he's going to be shocked. I'm saying that I even know this man. A town killer man. A little statement. A town killer used to live around here. Right here on these apartments right here on Second Donut. Anybody familiar with it? So anyway, I thought that was an interesting look at the street where Seth Rich lived and died. That's the Flagler Market right there. He died at that intersection. So basically, it seems to me that crime was artificially inserted into the area just prior to Seth being killed, probably to make it look normal or not so out of place. Even though it's pretty out of place, considering it's the only homicide in a rash of robberies. And they didn't even take his belongings. And a lot of the people who lived there noted how strange it was that just that small area was getting all the crime and just over the past few weeks before he died. Here's some other comments from some people who lived there. And I'll go ahead and wrap it up now because I'm already spending a lot of time on this. But thank you so much for watching.
