What Happened To America
As America dies the world thrives. Having worked in a mall of the 80’s, when they were "the" place to be, this kinda hurts the heart. My family not just moved to Thailand from the United States. I took a video for you guys today I think could surprise some of you. Check it out. When's the last time you went to the mall in the United States? Do you know what they look like on the inside? I'm about to take you for a trip through the mall in Puket, Thailand filled with American brands. This could be eye opening for some of you guys. There's actually more familiar brands in this mall than there are stuff you're not familiar with. It's just everywhere. Fast food, shoes, clothes, purses, all the stuff that used to be in America 20 years ago in the beautiful malls that are now closed down. It's all right here. It's like a time machine. If it made everything prettier, everything here is beautiful over the top the way they do stuff. This big old courtyard there's several of these in just this one mall. It's also three floors tall. There's KFC right there. This is just a dining list. Only the food can show on this thing. This place is huge. Lots of familiar options on there as well. I was really impressed with this mall I didn't know what to expect. I found the Taco Bell. The menu's different. There was a lot of interesting options on there. I ran in and grabbed the taco and the taco came with hot sauce on the taco so I'll probably do a whole video on just the Taco Bell. There's the dairy queen. There was a lot of familiar faces. Crocs, Samsonite. I don't know why I left that one in there but hey, familiar brand. I walked around and around this mall for quite a while just looking at everything. It was taking me back. It's been a long time since I was in a mall that was filled with everything. I know there's still a couple and a few places in the United States but for the most part I believe a lot of them are empty. This was really cool. It was really nice building, really nice place. Leibhys and sketchers and it just kept going. There was a couple places I didn't even go in the mall so there's way more than this. I saw a playboy store and that was cool. Coach, you know, purses for the ladies. And I believe right around the corner was another store that my wife likes. The Birkenstocks. I know that's not necessarily all American brands but they're familiar brands. Stuff that sold in America that's familiar. There was more of that than there was things I didn't notice so it was really interesting to walk around this place. If you guys come out here, check it out.
