Hey folks, changing reason here. Today we're going to spend some time with the three Brussels Airport bombing suspects. Specifically, we're going to attempt to identify where precisely they were when captured by an airport surveillance camera. I'm going to start with somewhat of a long clip from a previous video, location location location. Here I established precisely where the first blasts said to have occurred, which is toward the southern end of the departure hall, near Row 11. Let's start with some photos of the first bomb site. This photo was reportedly taken the following day, March 23rd, and according to the caption, the first bomb went off here, just to the right of this children's play area, which looked like this. For additional insight into the layout of this room, here's another map available at the Brussels Airport website. Note the location of the play area, the seating, the three service counters, and this wall. Whoever took this photo would have been shooting from right about here. Here's another photo of the same area also taken the following day. We clearly see Row 11 and 12, and beyond we see the play area. Note the cut out of the boy holding the toy plane. So from this angle, we're looking north. This picture would have been taken from right about here. This puts the detonation site here between the play area in Row 11. While there is obviously damage, from this photo, it appears it is more or less confined to the lower ceiling. These windows seem unharmed, as does the high ceiling, the ductwork, and the two nearest service counters. This brings us to a video that received quite a bit of circulation. This was allegedly filmed by a taxi driver who had been parked outside the airport when the bombs went off. He came inside to find his son, an airport employee. Let's watch. Despite the poor video quality of this footage, we can still discern enough detail to confirm that this was, indeed, filmed at the site of the first explosion. We see the square columns, as opposed to the round columns found everywhere else within the departure hall. We see the service counters. We see the seating. And we can even identify the play area right here. Now, for additional insight into the layout of this area, here is an additional video released by LiveLeak.com of the same location. Note the two-tone square columns, the seating, and the play area right here. And finally, here is a photo reportedly taken by an eyewitness, Brian Stanley, an American martial artist who had been in Belgium training police officers. He says he was near row 11 when the first bomb went off. We got in line at the Delta counter, and we're having a normal conversation just waiting in line to get up to check our bags. We had our boarding passes. And you know, the next thing I know, the noise first, the bright flash of not light but flame and the heat. This photo inside Brussels Airport taken just minutes after bomb exploded. This ball of fire shows Brian Stanley's close brush with that. Like here, that was where the detonation happened. That's it. That's it. Again, we see the two-tone square columns, the seating, the play area. We can even see the picture of the boy with the toy airplane right here. To reiterate, these square columns are unique to this portion of the departure hall. The section housing rows 1 through 10, which appears to be newer construction, utilizes round columns. And as we've also previously discussed, the location of the second blast was in line with row 4. Here this statue, and in front of the Brussels airline ticket office. Now, let's take a look at the CCTV image initially released by Belgian authorities. While it will take a little work to identify precisely where they are within the departure hall, we can determine right away that these three men are near the site of the first explosion. We can see a square two-tone column right here. But is there anything else we can ascertain from this image? Well, there's no way around the fact that the image quality is horrible, and I have to believe this is deliberate. And the brief video provided later doesn't help us much more, particularly since they chose to blur out two-thirds of the image. In order to make real sure we understood just which guy to look at. You know, because look at the guy with the hat is apparently too ambiguous. That's a joke, of course. The real reason is that it's easier to blur a video than it is to doctor it. Just where did this terrorist's black glove go? Anyway, there is still hope. We just need to locate our landmarks and use some critical thinking. As we have just observed, here we have our tell-tale two-tone square column. And here we have what appears to be the end of one of the hall's three check encounters. Note the half wall with the protective metal railing near the floor. For reference, here's a photo we've looked at before, showing rows 11 and 12. And here we see the half wall, and down here we can see the metal railing. So, since the check encounters run east to west, we can conclude our three suspects are walking either north or south. Further, since we clearly do not see a service counter behind the three men, we can deduce that they are either near this end of row 14 headed north or they are near this end of row 11 headed south. To help us better visualize the layout of this area, I've put together a simple 3D model of the South departure hall. Using Google Earth, our airport map, and available interior photographs as reference. While certainly not a flawless representation, I do believe it is quite accurate with respect to the overall room size, the placement of the columns, and the locations of the check encounters. Here are a couple of images for comparison's sake. Now, in our model, potential location 1 is here, fairly close to the South entrance and a large band of storefront glass. Here's a photograph of the exterior for reference. The suspects would have been filmed from a vantage point similar to this. This potential location 2 is right here, relatively close to the seating and play area. From this vantage point, the camera would be aimed slightly northward, capturing the manage they had south. If we look again at the CCTV image, it appears we are indeed looking at a seating area in the background. It's blurry, no doubt, but we can make out the shape of at least one seated man right here. And we see no evidence of the storefront glass located along the southern exterior wall. Uncomfortable then, with the determination that these three men are indeed walking southward, past the east end of Rose 11 and 12. And I dare speculate the camera that captured this footage is the one we see here. The height and location seem just right. I'll acknowledge that in this photo, the camera is pointing the wrong way, but considering its proximity to the ceiling damage, it could have easily been inadvertently knocked out of position. Fortunately, we do know when this footage was supposedly taken. According to the published timeline of events, the three men arrived at the airport via taxi at 7.55 am local time, and were captured by a surveillance camera shortly thereafter. The blast was at 7.58 am, with the second explosion following just 10 seconds later. Okay, now we might have a problem. Here are our three terrorists again. These guys seem to be moving at a pretty casual pace. What they know they have some place to be, and now have three minutes or less to be there. Let's go back to our map. At 7.55 am, these three guys are right here, walking in this direction. But in just three minutes, Bomber 1 needs to be here, firing his Kalishnikov, at least according to some reports, before blowing himself to Smithoreans. So as a side note, if you plan to detonate yourself and take as many people with you as possible, why would you fire a rifle first, scattering your potential victims in all directions? That's just dumb. Anyway, Bomber 1's job is pretty easy. Bomber 2 on the other hand has a little more work to do. He has three minutes or less to get his ass all the way up here, near row 4. Let's over 500 feet to the north. And then there's Hatman. He's got places to be too. Based on the apparent location of the third bomb blast later that day, he needs to get at least as far north as Bomber 2, abandoned his explosive laden trolley, and then exit the building, all before the first explosion. He has left himself with precious little time to spare indeed. So here's the question. One on Earth are all three guys doing way the hell down here, a mere 180 seconds before go time. And on top of that, walking in the wrong direction. Now, before anyone out there starts throwing around feet per second calculations, I will concede that if Bomber 2 and Hatman had turned around immediately after this footage was taken and jogged northward with their trolley's, they could possibly accomplish their respective deeds in just the nick of time. But why would they do this? Whether the Bombers blow themselves up at 758 or 828, what's the difference? What would be the point of rushing? Is doing so would only increase the chances of making a mistake or getting caught? In reality, these guys would have taken their time, scoped out the place, found just the right spots. Not to mention the fact that TATP, the explosive they were allegedly carrying, is exceedingly unstable, jogging or running with it would have been a very bad idea. Nonetheless, in order to do what we are told they did, they'd have been rushing around like the family from home alone. It just makes no sense. Of course, the answer to this riddle is that these three men are not terrorists. They're not on their way to blow anything up, and there were no bombs in the airport that day. Then who are these men? I can't say, but they're likely in on it too. I was told to do some laps around the airport while looking shady. Who knows? Was this footage even from that day? Who cares? None of this really matters at this point. What matters is that if these three men had done what we're told these three men did, sure as you're born, they would not have been here, not just three minutes prior. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a single element of this entire story that isn't ridiculous. Who does write this stuff?
