This article is going to be something that is very close to my heart because this is something that really has effected my life in a very negative way. For the last 3 years or so I have been battling with high blood sugar levels and its 100% about diet and exercise. The exercise I had and have always been a fairly fit fat guy but when you are fat, can you really say you are fit? Definitely not according to the MattyD diet. The thing I like about MattyD is that he is always pushing for health, diet, and exercise. But I digress. So as many of you know a couple of years ago I went totally blind and I had no idea why. My vision started getting extremely bad to the point that I went to the eye doctor and got these glasses. A few days later, using the glasses I couldn't see. I went back to the eye doctor and told him that the script wasn't working and he said, something else was wrong. Not having an experience or any understanding of blood sugar levels I went and got a blood glucose monitor and took some tests and my first tests were way into the 400's. Now a normal person without eating should be about 95 to 110 and when you eat, it should spike up but it should come down. So here I am fully blind but I had a basic understanding of what was going on. At that moment I took my blind butt and I would sit on my Schwinn Air Dyne bike for about 5 hours a day and pedal and pedal and pedal. I was testing my blood sugar all the way and by the time I got done it felt like I was writing my name in blood for a contact. What I discovered in those very first years with diabetes type 2 is that everything I was eating was wrong. So I went to a chicken and lettuce only style of diet. Because I had destroyed my body, any type of breads would spike me up. A single granular of sugar would take me to school. So for about a year I did really good and I had my blood sugar under control. With a solid diet and exercise I could live about 158 during the day and when I would go extreme exercising, I could get it to about 115. But every single night during the night, my blood sugar would spike and every single morning I was over 200. So I continued on my diet and was good...until I lost focus. And for the last couple of years I let things go and wasn't monitoring my blood levels and when I was being bad, I could tell because my vision would start going. I didn't even need a blood sugar monitor to tell I was way to high. So it was on January 5th of 2025 that my old doctor from the states, Doc Z said, Jason, if you don't start taking insulin shots by this time next year you will be dead. He got extremely angry with me and told me he would pay for me to come to the states and get into a specialist group that would get me fitted with the right insulin and I could get maybe another 10 years of life left but if I continued on, I would be dead. So I got my death sentence and there I was on death row. Now me being me, I am always up for a good fight and I have lived through life on the streets, a hard core drug life, and so many enemies always that would love to put a bullet in my head if they could. So this fight seems up to the challenge.
Now in the last 5 months of me being on death row and me unwilling to take any of these big phama shots, I decided to actually do some research on Diabetes type 2 and figure this out once and for all. And I have and I believe that I have reversed it to a degree. Because of what I learned from actual research papers, and research papers that were hard to find, there is something very different with those with diabetes and those without...when it comes to gut health. Inside the guts of those with diabetes type 2, we are very sick and the things that we had in a normal body, aren't there. I will provide the research in the next write up to some of these things.
Now for those struggling with diabetes type 2, let me tell you its 100% fork to mouth disease. What you eat is 100% of your health and anyone at all should take this same advise as nobody seems to have a cure for diabetes type 2 without big pharma....but I do.
So if you are diabetic and using big pharma drugs, give them up. They aren't fixing you, they are only masking the blood sugar levels and your body is still very sick.
Lets look at what the symptoms of diabetes type 2 actually are along with what can happen if you don't fix yourself.
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition where the body becomes resistant to insulin or doesn't produce enough insulin, leading to high blood sugar levels. It develops gradually and can go undiagnosed for years, with symptoms often appearing slowly.
Common Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes & Their Effects:
1. Increased Thirst (Polydipsia)
Effect: High blood sugar draws water from cells, leading to dehydration and increased thirst.
2. Frequent Urination (Polyuria)
Effect: The kidneys work harder to filter excess sugar, causing frequent urination and potential loss of electrolytes.
3. Increased Hunger (Polyphagia)
Effect: Cells don’t get enough glucose, signaling the body to eat more, despite already having high blood sugar.
4. Fatigue
Effect: Glucose isn't efficiently used for energy, leaving the person feeling constantly tired or weak.
5. Blurred Vision
Effect: High blood sugar causes swelling in the lenses of the eyes, altering their shape and focusing ability.
6. Slow Healing of Cuts and Wounds
Effect: High blood sugar impairs immune function and blood circulation, delaying tissue repair.
7. Frequent Infections
Effect: Especially skin, gum, or urinary tract infections due to a weakened immune response and sugar-rich environment for microbes.
8. Numbness or Tingling (Neuropathy)
Effect: High sugar levels damage nerves over time, especially in hands and feet, leading to pain or loss of sensation.
9. Darkened Skin Patches (Acanthosis Nigricans)
Effect: Insulin resistance can cause thickened, velvety patches in body folds, often in the neck, armpits, or groin.
10. Unintended Weight Loss
Effect: If the body can't use glucose, it starts breaking down fat and muscle for energy, leading to weight loss.
Long-Term Effects on the Body (if untreated):
Cardiovascular disease: Increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and high blood pressure.
Kidney damage (nephropathy): Can lead to kidney failure or dialysis.
Nerve damage (diabetic neuropathy): Pain, tingling, or numbness; can affect digestion and other functions.
Eye damage (diabetic retinopathy): Can lead to blindness if untreated.
Foot problems: Poor circulation and nerve damage increase risk of ulcers and amputation.
Skin conditions: Bacterial and fungal infections.
Alzheimer’s disease: Higher risk linked to insulin resistance.
Now there is no magic pill or formula that will change this alone, and you shouldn't try. If you want to live successfully then you need to follow this formula to the T and you will have success and your blood sugar will down very quickly and you will feel way better than you ever have in years.
First and foremost diet is everything. These are the foods you can eat literally as much as you want and they won't touch your blood sugar. Beef and Chicken, any kinds of greens, but don't use regular salad dressing. The olive oil / balsamic dressing is pretty tasty and doesn't touch your blood sugar levels. Eggs are free and can be eaten as many as you want. Anything with flour is a no go, it will destroy your blood sugar levels. No candy, no soda, or anything of the sort. In moderation, brown rice cakes and brown rice are good and anything with almond flour is your friend. You can get almond flour and mix in 1 egg and a bit of water and use a rolling pin and flatten them out and then bake them to a crispy cracker and they don't raise you up much. I am not sure what kind of diet this would be called but this is my diet and it works out very well.
Now based on the research I did, what can make a huge difference in the reversal of diabetes type 2 is cinnamon extract. Its not regular cinnamon but a special type of cinnamon that is pretty hard to make yourself. I am going to leave a picture of all the pills that I take on a day to day basis below. Every morning I always take about 5 magnesium pills to help with cramping and keep me going as well as 5 tumeric which I am fond of.
Then, I take all of these daily.
Now to sum this up, diabetes type 2 is reversible without jamming yourself with pills, shots, or something else. The last thing I want to mention is that as I was testing my blood sugar levels as I use my exercise bike and jog outside, exercise does something amazing to you. Now if you can only walk around for an hour, that is good. I have helped people down here and they are really old people and after they do an hour of walking, their blood sugar levels come down. There is something about getting the blood flow moving and the more exercise you do, the better you feel and the more you will get your life under control. Lately I have been doing a lot of fasting as well. I am doing stints of 4 days with ZERO food and only liquids and it definitely hurts but intermittent fasting also helps. When you eat, go for chicken and greens. At present even when I eat something I consider hotter than my normal, and when I say hotter, I am talking a little bit of cheese on my chicken but even after eating I don't go over 180. I wake up in the mornings around 125 and after 4 days of fasting I sit at 88. 88 is the proper blood sugar levels for fasting. So as I progress through this journey, I wanted to give you guys a little bit of hope out there. MattyD is right and has always been right about diet and exercise. And if you will follow this advice you will be healthy in no time. Dump the big pharma trash which is only masking the actual problem. Don't fall into the medical industry game.
