TRUMP in Episode of Trackdown - THE END OF THE WORLD

Trump was a confidence man planning to profit from the deceptive sale of occultist "perisols" in the town of Talpa, Tx. Trump claimed the perisol's occult pattern would offer a "wall" of magnetic, anti-gravity protection for the people and the metal ring near the handle would protect their animals from an asteroid that was certain to cause the end of the world at midnight.

Trump knew the Leonid meteor shower was scheduled and could probably provide convincing evidence of meteors in the sky. But when no meteor shower was visible, Trump staged an explosion of a barrel using a covert charge of phosphorus. The crowd became hysterical at the fireworks allowing Trump to raise the price of the perisols from $50.00 to $75.00 each. The price was so high the panicked "mob" broke into the Talpa bank to steal the cash they needed to purchace Trump's life-saving perisols.

The Texas Ranger (Hobie) caught Trump sneaking out of town with $5,000 in cash just before midnight. The Ranger was arresting Trump when the sheriff intervened with a gun to take the bag of money and shot Trump (presumably dead) in the process. As Chet shot Trump, Hobie over-powered Chet and forced him to appear in front of the bilked citizens to confess he was part of the conspiracy and that the entire asteroid threat was a hoax and fraud.
