“When Calls the Heart” actor Nathaniel “Nate” Pelletier has died at age 53.

Pelletier had a recurring role as the taxi driver on the Hallmark Channel series from 2023-2024. He also served as an antique car master in the show’s transportation department.

According to Pelletier’s obituary, he died “suddenly” while at home alone on April 11.

The obituary noted that the actor’s “greatest love” was his daughter, Myhrsades (Murray) Jones, and his “second greatest love was his work and work-family.” It gave a shout-out to “Gord, Trevor and Andrew” from “When Calls the Heart.” “Gord” seems to refer to the show’s transportation department captain Gordon Alyward.

Pelletier is described as a “charismatic person” who “touched many lives with his generosity and extraordinary work ethic.” His obituary notes that he loved music, cooking and baking, entertaining friends and family, and writing poems.
